 *If using with a canvas or vinyl backdrop that has wood mounting; you will not need the crossbar. If you are using with a cloth backdrop that has a pole pocket or one that is rolled onto a tube, simply slip the crossbar through the pocket or the tube and raise the stands. You could also opt to clamp a cloth backdrop to the crossbar as well.
